Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect your email and wanted-list details to send you car matches and occasional news. We never sell your data. Unsubscribe anytime.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Shaguar ("Shaguar," "we," "us"), operated by Matt Graves in Nebraska, collects and uses information when you visit shaguar.com or subscribe to our emails.

2. What we collect

Email address and any optional details you give us when you send us a wanted list or sign up for our email list. Signups are handled by our email provider, beehiiv.
Wanted-list details you send us, such as vehicle type (car/truck or motorcycle), make, model, years, budget, ZIP code, search radius, notes, and the email address you want matches sent to. Today these arrive as an email to groovyshaguar@gmail.com that you choose to send.
Email engagement data such as opens and clicks, collected by beehiiv to measure delivery and interest.
Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected in server logs by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and by beehiiv's signup form (for example, the page or campaign that referred you). We do not currently run advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

To match your wanted list against the auctions and listings we watch and email you about cars, trucks or motorcycles that fit, and to send any newsletters or announcements you signed up for.
To run, secure, and improve the site and our alerts.
To respond to your messages and provide support.
To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. Service providers (processors)

We share information only with providers who help us run Shaguar, under their own privacy and security terms:

beehiiv: email signup, storage of subscriber lists, and email delivery (beehiiv privacy policy).
Cloudflare: website hosting and delivery (Cloudflare privacy policy).
Google (Gmail): if you email us at groovyshaguar@gmail.com.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example, if Shaguar becomes an LLC or is sold), in which case this policy will continue to apply.

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

6. Unsubscribe and email rules

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly, as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Our emails identify Shaguar as the sender, use honest subject lines, and include a valid postal address.

7. Your privacy rights (California and other states)

Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Nebraska, and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information.
Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising (we do not do these).
Not be discriminated against for using your rights.

To make a request, email groovyshaguar@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

8. Retention and security

We keep your information while you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward for records and legal compliance, then delete it. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

Shaguar is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 to use the site,. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International visitors

Shaguar is based in the United States, and information is processed in the United States.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify subscribers by email.
